LIVE
Q&A Session with HAC's Legal Counsel
Friday, April 24, 2020

In preparation for the launch of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) program on Monday, April 27th, 2020, we understand that members may have a lot of questions about how the process will work and how to apply. We also recognize that many of our members don’t have access to legal counsel.

To support members through this process, HAC has hired a team of employment lawyers through Miller Thomson LLP, who will be able to field members questions tomorrow via online digital chat. In anticipation of the volume of questions, we are using a platform called Slido which will allow members to type in a question and also vote on popular questions in order to ensure that we can cover the most important and relevant questions during the hour time slot. Questions will be answered live on zoom by our lawyers.

You can start adding your questions to slido immediately and voting on the best questions in advance of the session.

This partnership with Miller Thomson will allow us to offer a session in both French and English. Note that the French session is not only offered in French, but it accounts for Quebec employment law which is different than the rest of Canada.
